I studied Information Visualizations for my year long graduating project. The first semester was dedicated to research into the history of information graphics and some of the possibilities for the future. That culminated in an essay I wrote for the OCAD Student Press's Shift: Perspectives, entitled "Information is Power".
In the second semester I began to make my own visualizations. Do do so I did a lot of statistical research and calculations which culminated in about 8 visualizations. You can see them in the Data Visualizations section. I decided to clump two or three of the visualizations into a theme, which allowed me to tell a story with the information I had found.
These books were my final deliverable and outline my process, giving background information to the visualizations.
